Courgettes

20 July, 10:24, by Fran Tags:

Maurice and Hannah sowed courgette seeds in mid May on a bright and breezy Saturday morning. The seeds are big enough for little hands to keep hold of and require no greater depth than 2 inches. A good watering after sowing ensured that the seeds had the best chance of survival. Courgettes are a great tasting veg that if left to grow, with loving care, will eventually become Marrows.

The Results!

Courgettes are pretty fast on the uptake so by early July we were bumpered with fabulous tasting flowers and healthy looking veg. Well done to Hannah and Maurice – the courgette specialists at Waterstown Allotments!
